UGG! With this never ending winter, one must be prepared for anything. Whether it’s enduring this harsh winter weather or cuddling up on the couch on a lazy snow day, look cozy, comfy and toasty in some winter fashion.
If one were to take a stroll through the busy halls of LCN, they would see diverse personal styles ranging from students’ feet to the top of their heads. One would see a multitude of girls wearing boots like the very popular brand UGG. They would also notice the leather boots that are all the rage this season like combat and riding boots. Many others girls and boys enjoy wearing Vans which are more laid back but can be dressed up.
Speaking of boys, many this winter have been sticking to comfortable and casual with some warm crew necks, hooded sweat shirts, flannel button-up shirts and even some nice pullovers. If one were to pair those tops with some khaki pants, jeans, sweatpants and tennis shoes, they would have an everyday Crusader boy outfit.
Many girls, like the very stylish senior Abby LaPorte, enjoy layering up their outfits.
“I like wearing a bigger cardigan over a slouchy tee with some leggings and boots. It’s comfy and cute at the same time. If I’m really cold in class, I’ll grab my North Face and bundle up in that. It’s super soft and keeps me warm,” LaPorte said.
North Face jackets, sweaters, cardigans, hoodies, leather jackets and crew necks are what one could typically find on any girl in the halls at LCN. These tops are usually paired with skinny jeans, leggings and sweat pants on those days when it’s just too hard to get out of bed.
As far as accessories go, a lot of young ladies are seen wearing scarves to take on the nasty chill. Many students like to wear Neff beanies to keep their ears shielded from the cold.
Since the weather is so bitterly cold, Nathan Featherstone ’15 stays warm and comfortable in a classic look.
“I’m almost always in a pair of Levi jeans, a crew neck and Vans. It’s simple, but I still look nice and dressed up,” he said.
There is no need to worry whether or not you are going to be fashionable, comfortable but still look good in this frigid weather. Winter outfits can be dressed up or dressed down easily depending on what one’s taste is. So, stay warm but yet look cool.
