“Sweaters and boots are the best thing about fall, and I love making statements with my outfits when I walk down the hallways at school,” Scottie Falkenhagen ‘15 said.

Once the second week of school starts, the air gets a little chillier and the knee-high riding boots make an appearance for the first time in eight months. This time of year is when all of the fashionistas make a return.

For the fall of 2014, according to www.elle.com, knit sweaters and knee-high boots are what is in for this season. Many students at LCN have taken the top trends and showcased their own personal style through them. They strut the halls looking very trendy.

Desyrae Brown ‘15 agreed. “I would say that the best thing to wear in the fall would be big, comfy, cozy sweaters,” she said.

Sweaters are a major statement piece this fall. Pair a big, comfy sweater with a sleek pair of pants and a statement necklace to dress up the outfit, or pair the sweater with leggings for a more relaxed look.

Fall fashion is not just for the girls of the world; the guys can also look trendy all the time. According to www.gqmagazine.com, earthy and green tones are in for the fall 2014 season.

Nick Abdelnour ‘15 said, “I love rocking the earth tones and cardigans for the fall. They are both such staples for the season.”

Some people find it hard to get fashion inspiration through other students at school or in the news. In reality, people can get fashion inspiration from anywhere. Jenna Mazzetti ‘15 said she gets ideas for her fall outfits on social media.

“I like to look at cute outfit pages on Twitter to find the perfect outfit,” Mazzetti said. “That’s where I get most of my inspiration for the fall.”

Not only do the students at LCN like to be on point with their fall outfits, but also the staff members want to look presentable, too. Bobbie Agnello, Psychology and AP Psychology teacher, gets inspiration from her daughter.

“Sometimes I will see what my daughter is wearing one day and the next, I’ll wear a similar outfit,” said Agnello. She added that she enjoys wearing boots with a sweater. Agnello stays current with the latest trends.

The students and staff of LCN are looking their best and showing off their fall trends. Enjoy these fall months because the long winter months are right around the corner.
